Terms of Use
Meus is provided by MADBOTS LIMITED, Hong Kong ("we"). These terms add to Apple's standard license. By using Meus you agree to both.
1. Apple's standard license
Meus is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA). The terms below are additional terms. If they conflict with the standard EULA, the standard EULA applies, except where these terms give you more rights.
2. Plans and subscriptions
- Meus offers an annual subscription with a free trial, a monthly subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase. Current prices are shown in the App Store before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- If you buy a subscription during a free trial, the unused part of the trial ends.
- The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment, not a subscription. It does not renew.
3. Refunds
Purchases are made through Apple, and Apple handles refunds under its own policies. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds ourselves. This does not limit any rights you have under consumer law.
4. AI-generated music
All music in Meus is generated by an AI model on your device. It is created automatically, and nobody reviews each track. Because it is generated, a track may by chance resemble existing music. We don't promise that any track is unique or free of third-party rights.
5. Personal listening only
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to listen to the music Meus makes on your devices, for your own private, non-commercial use. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, you may not:
- sell, license, publish, broadcast or stream the music, or put it in a product, video, game, podcast or advertisement;
- upload it to music services or content ID systems, or claim it as your own work;
- use it to train other AI models.
6. Your own stations
Don't use custom station prompts to imitate a real, identifiable artist or to make content that infringes anyone's rights or breaks the law. Meus's stations are described by genre, mood, tempo and instruments, not by artists.
7. Third-party components
Meus includes an open music model and open source software under their own licenses, listed on the Licenses page. Use of the music model is also subject to Stability AI's acceptable use policy. Its text encoder, T5Gemma by Google, is provided under and subject to the Gemma Terms of Use; you agree not to use Meus in ways the Gemma Prohibited Use Policy forbids.
8. Limitation of liability
Meus is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Meus in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its effective date. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or on this page before it applies.
